How to add a Paypal "Buy Now" button to your web site.

The simplest way to accept payments online for a single product is to put a Paypal buy now button on your web page next to the product you want to sell. Here are the steps involved.

First log into Paypal. If you don't have an account you can visit www.paypal.com, register and set up your account.

Next, click on the Merchant Tools button at the top menu. Scroll almost all the way down to the bottom of the page, just above the footer links and you will see, "Receiving & Managing Payments" Under this, click on the link that says, "Buy Now Buttons" and you will be taken to a new web page. Look for the link that says, "Get Started Now" and click on it.

This web page will generate the HTML code for button you will place on your website. Simply fill out the name of the product, the price and the country, and any other specific optional details you choose. Next click on the Paypal button they provide or the link next to it to choose from other optional buttons.

After you choose the button you want for your web page, scroll down to the botton of the page and click on the button titled, "Create Button Now"

You will now see a text box containing custom HTML code. This is the code you can copy and paste into your web page. You can do it yourself, or if you have a web designer and want him to paste the code into your website, you can do the following:

First click inside the box containing the HTML code. Click on your brower's edit menu and click on "Select All" then copy.

Next, copy the code into an email and send the code to your web designer. He will simply paste that code in your web page and your Paypal button will then be active.
